Hamilton · Ontario · Construction & Demolition Waste

Ontario landfills 85% of its construction waste — and most of it never had to go there.

Disposal Construction is the routing layer between Ontario job sites and the processors that already exist in this province. We classify every load at intake, route by material, and put a chain-of-custody record on every tonne we move.

The Ontario Landfill Marketplace Crisis

Ontario generates roughly 4 million tonnes of construction, renovation and demolition waste each year. About eighty-five percent of it is buried — not because the material can't be recycled, but because the routing layer between the bin and the processor is missing.

The Drywall Proof

Metro Vancouver banned drywall from landfill decades ago and now recycles 70,000–80,000 tonnes a year. The same processor — New West Gypsum Recycling — operates in Oakville, Ontario. The GTA, with a larger population, sends only ~30,000 tonnes. The processor isn't missing. The routing is.

The Regulatory Timeline Is Tightening

Three Ontario regulations compress into a twenty-four month window. By the time they bind, the cost of compliance for generators that haven't already restructured their waste stream will be measured in dollars per tonne, not cents.

EffectiveRegulationWhat Changes
2027-01-01O.Reg 406/19 (Excess Soil)Landfilling of excess soil meeting residential/parkland/institutional standards becomes restricted; source-site registration triggers at 2,000 m³.
2029REWOOD Landfill BanClean wood becomes prohibited at landfill — generators must source-separate or pay mixed-waste rates.
2030Ontario Diversion TargetInterim 50% diversion goal; federal CRD target is 90% by the same date (aspirational).
2034Capacity CliffProjected exhaustion of Ontario domestic landfill capacity. Export economics flip.
2036CIRCIL Levy CeilingMixed-waste levy reaches its maximum $60/tonne rate. Clean separation pays back at $5–$10/tonne.

Ontario Has the Processors. We Connect the Trade to the Right One.

The province already hosts world-class recyclers — New West Gypsum in Oakville, Triple M Metal in Hamilton, Northstar's commissioning shingle plant on the Hamilton waterfront, the Canadian Wood Waste Recycling network, CHAR Technologies biocarbon, recycled aggregate processors across the GTA. What it doesn't have is a single operator that knows which truck carries which material to which gate, with an audit-grade record at every step.

That is what Disposal Construction does. We sit between the generator and the processor. We classify at intake, separate by material, and route by destination. The contractor sees one invoice, one bin schedule, one compliance package — not ten phone numbers.

The Disposal Construction Workflow

Five steps. Each one is logged, timestamped, and tied to a specific tonne of material.

1

Quote & Schedule

Bin size matched to job type and waste stream. Cross-border generators receive USMCA-compliant origin documentation upfront.

2

Compliance Gate

Every load is classified at intake — clean wood, amber band, mixed, or hazardous. CIRCIL Levy band is locked at this step, not at the scale.

3

Routed Dispatch

Walking-floor and roll-off carriers dispatched to the verified offtake — pulp plant, gypsum recycler, metal yard, biocarbon facility, or aggregate processor.

4

Chain of Custody

GPS, weight, classification, photo and recipient signature attached to every load. Audit-ready for RPRA, MECP, and CBP requests.

5

Transparent Invoice

Seven-line statement: base haul, net weight, CIRCIL Levy, diversion pass, carbon dividend (informational), HST, total. No surprise tonnage fees.
